daimon/tenanye
dragon's dogma
romanticTenanye was born in a small, withering mountain town called Spokespeak. For the past few generations, it had been growing increasingly barren, but the townsfolk had strong spiritual and cultural ties to the land and chose to stay as long as possible. Her father was a scholar who heavily documented the traditions of the townsfolk, and her mother was in a position of leadership. Spokespeak is rather isolated and difficult to get to, but it has quite the reputation for worshiping the old god of the darkness attribute, and thusly as the founding place of dark sorceries. There were only about five families still living there by the time Tenanye was 10. Her mother had her and her father move to a town at the base of a neighboring mountain, called Alicanth, while she remained in Spokespeak due to her high status position, to continue research and worship. It was a large, flourishing town symbolized by abundance. This is where Tenanye meets her best friend Hyacinth, and her little sister Minthe. This is also where she meets Julien of Voldoa, while he's traveling. The two end up getting married and having two children together, two boys who reach 2 and 3 years old. Something goes awry in their marriage that causes her to kill their two children and she flees first back to Alicanth, then to to Gransys along with Hyacinth and Minthe. This leaves Julien distraught and angry, and it's part of his motivation to later venture to Gransys when they were in need of aid due to the dragon.Unbeknownst to Tenanye, she was pregnant with a third child, who she gave birth to and abandoned in Cassardis. A few months after, she finds herself becoming arisen while traveling in Gransys. Nobody was around to witness this, so it was unknown who, if anyone, had become arisen, although there were rumors going around. Her pawn, Eolande was formed out of Tenanye's idea of a mother. Both because of the absence of her own in her life after she left Spokespeak, but also the small speck of guilt she feels for not having a motherly instinct towards her own children. Eolande is also made to represent the personified idea of Alicanth and it's abundant bounty, and Tenanye's nostalgia for it, as the two of them share a color scheme of gold/magenta/purple. Tenanye is very hot and cold with Eolande, lording over her power as arisen in cruel, dismissive ways. Yet she also has an urge to explore a relationship with Eolande, so the two have a slight romantic entanglement. Tenanye eventually abandons Eolande in Cassardis. She quickly met Olra and traveled to Bitterblack Isle. As she explored it's depths, she felt quite at home. She conquered the isle, and after Ashe's spirit was put to rest, Daimon started forming his own personality. The two fell in love as Tenanye would repeatedly come to kill/spar with him, knowing he was undying. At this point there were still times Tenanye would still travel back to Gransys. Eventually, she would choose to remain on Bitterblack with Daimon, severing herself from the cycle and living eternally on the island. She is good friends with Barroch and Fauna.tenanye's pronouns are she/her🕸oc: out of a black cloud came a bird

grigori/minthe
dragon's dogma
romantic, one sided in some AUsMinthe grew up in Alicanth until she was 18, when she joined her sister Hyacinth and Tenanye in fleeing to Gransys. Her and her sister's home life was very tumultuous growing up, although Hyacinth got the brunt of the difficulty. The two didn't communicate well at the time, and this led to Minthe making a poor decision that would leave her traumatized and resenting her sister. It was almost immediately after this event that the three fled to Gransys, leaving Minthe feeling isolated and without any sense of stability, although thankful to be away from her old environment. Four years later, after Tenanye has left for Bitterblack and become disconnected from the cycle, the dragon comes down to Cassardis and claim's Minthe's heart. After feeling so isolated, Minthe conflates the sense of adrenaline with the feeling of love and falls for Grigori. On top of that, the bond between arisen and dragon is the only form of true, deep connection she's ever felt, so she latches on hard. Her will isn't quite strong enough to form her own pawn, and Eolande was a familiar face due to being the pawn of Minthe's close acquaintance, so through what little will she did have, Eolande is chosen as Minthe's main pawn.Grigori feels a lot of sympathy and care for her, and tries to gently guide her through her journey, no matter how tragic it is. Sometimes I like to think of him loving her back, but I also like to think about him just having deep platonic affection for her.In some AUs she kills Grigori and reclaims her heart and lives on in Cassardis, never becoming seneschal. In some, he takes his own life in a twisted form of the dragon's bargain to sacrifice the arisen's beloved for peace. In some, Grigori gets to be reincarnated after his death as a man, and returns to her side that way. Minthe becomes a teacher/caretaker for children in the villiage, because she wants to help them avoid the pain she had due to her bad family, as well she she feels some sense of obligation to Tenanye's abandoned child, Ashera.minthe uses she/her🌿oc: the dead dead water lily thing

QPPsThe two met on Bitterblack, Fauna having arrived as an arisen from another world. They bond over a mutual interest in the unique treasures found on the isle. Fauna is an elf, and comes from a parallel world where elves are more common, although I do like to write them in as being canon in the normal DD:DA world as well.fauna uses she/her🌻oc: this spring holds a killer in her claws

ranni/braithwaite
elden ring
romanticBraithwaite was one of the tarnished banished in the march to the badlands along with Horah Loux, along with a childhood friend of hers. The two of them tried to remain alive in the war-torn badlands, but eventually her childhood friend sustained an injury and was mercy-killed by a white-masked war surgeon (who is indeed later revealed to be Varre). She attempts to attack him but he flees, leaving his misericorde in her friend's body, which she takes and holds onto for sentimentality's sake. She is also killed soon after. Her and her friend reawaken at similar times, beckoned by the grace of gold to return to the Lands Between. Neither her of her friend recognize Varre at first, because of his mask, although Braithwaite still holds hatred for him simply because she's biased against war surgeons, even if she knows she couldn't have saved her friend, and he was alive again anyway, part of her was still deeply affected by it. On top of that, she's just stubborn. When she encounters Ranni first that night at the Church of Elleh, she feels drawn to her, and quickly enters her service when they meet again at Ranni's Rise. She follows the path of Ranni's chosen lord dutifully, but she also takes the time to be thorough and interact and see through with every other NPC's quest. She sees Yura as a father.Due to her being so devoted to ushering in the age of stars, she often leaves her friend behind, and he eventually falls ill, unbeknownst to Braithwaite. Varre ends up taking care of him, and it's revealed he was the one who took his life in the badlands. Despite this, or perhaps because of this, the two of them fall in love. When Braithwaite discovers this, she's infuriated, especially knowing about the Moghwyn Dyansty and how truly repulsive Mohg is.She defeats Mohg and touches Miquella's withered arm to make her foray into the shadowlands, along with a Nox knight also in service to Ranni, named Cameo. Up until this point she'd done everything but kill Radagon and the Elden Beast, so this was to be her home stretch, needing to eliminate Miquella's plans of godhood to ensure Ranni succeeds. In her final act before becoming Ranni's lord, Braithwaite and Varre have a confrontation when she invades his world at Moghwyn, and demands he leave the dynasty if he wants to live, which he does. She brings up Ansbach, and the fact that Mohg never had any true care for Varre. She may hate Varre on a base level, but they come to see each other as equals, and for her friend's sake she wants to help him.braithwaite uses she/hership tag: 🌑knight of noir

godskin duo/clayelle

romantic polyculeAfter meeting and showing interest in the Apostle (named Hereticus, a trans man, he/him) first at the Caelid Divine Tower and then at Dominula, Clay is told to join Volcano Manor. There, he meets the Noble (named Sanctus, cis man, he/him) who appraises, and eventually approves of him. Thanks to Clay's off-beat enthusiasm, he's welcomed into their previously established relationship. He's crafty, charismatic, flirty, confident, and adventurous. He's always sure of his ability to smooth talk or otherwise weasel out of a situation. His interest in unconventional and intense relationships is what draws him to the Godskin Duo, and also what makes him a good kind of uncle-figure to Rya, as when she has her identity crisis, he's able to reassure her that her existence is valid and matters just as much as anyone else. There's an AU where he's shipped with Marika and Radagon, and also a DS3 AU where he's shipped with Leonhard and Rosaria. Really, he could be shipped with lots of people. He would also go well with Patches, Boggart, and Tanith/Rykard. It's likely that regardless of who he's with, he wouldn't be monogamous. Although the Godskin Duo are in love with each other, Clay likely falls on the aromantic spectrum and doesn't feel attachments like that, but the three of them are still very fond of each other in their own ways.clayelle uses he/him (although he is agender, he just doesn't care about pronouns. in a modern setting he would use they/them alongside he/him.)🔥oc: come watch me burn

goldmask/severin
elden ring
romanticBefore becoming tarnished, Severin was a criminal who was forced to take on the serpent effigies and fight in the coliseums. After managing to escape, Severin meets Goldmask, who at the time was still young, and nascent in his ideologies, but had started on his road to becoming the ascetic figure he is today. Severin was his companion, and even a colleague, for a long while during this period until the tarnished get banished. In the badlands, the two went their separate ways.As tarnished start flowing back into the lands between, Severin comes in contact with a developing Roundtable Hold, where he meets Gideon and Seluvis, the latter of whom took a fancy to him more than he would've liked, despite them only knowing each other in brief passing. Seluvis would go on to make a puppet that resembled an odd, idealized, feminine version of Severin, named Aneska.Eventually, after a long while, Severin finds his way back to reunite with Goldmask, staying by his side as a scribe. When Corhyn attempts to chase after Goldmask in his ambitions to become his scribe, he's crushed to find Severin is already occupying that role, and quite proudly. Severin revels in watching Corhyn's dreams get crushed and seeing him become disillusioned with the Goldmask he's idolized for so long. And although he doesn't speak and is rather preoccupied, part of Goldmask finds the situation amusing as well...severin uses he/him🐍oc: severin
